As my title suggests, I am a friend in need. And, truth be told, I am feeling very needy today! So here goes todays needs:
1. Someone to go sledding with. There is a hill behind my place just bedding for me to slide down it!
2. More book receommendations, of course.... I am in a fiction mood so spew forth those titles, folks!
3. Addresses! I am updating my address book so I would appreciate it if you would all email me your current addresses either so that I have them, or so that I can make sure I have the correct address.
4. A (good) recipe for chicken corn chowder. I want some so badly! Also, any chowder tips you may have as my last batch of chowder was more soupy than chowdery. I was sad.
Ok, I guess I am not that needy afterall.... I will, however, leave you all with this from my favorite comic. It just cracked me up. If you have a few hours (which will actually turn into a few days) go through the archive of QC. It's hilarious!

I just finished Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson a couple weeks ago. Good stuff. Makes you thankful to not have grown up in that extreme of a religious environment...or did we?
