Well Christmas has now come and gone and my house is still in tact. I must say that I was slightly fearful of this due to having 25 guests on the 23rd for family Christmas- 5 of them under approximately 36 inches tall.
Thankfully we had a really good time! It was lots of fun getting to see everybody. My grandparents really enjoyed it. We have also now decided to do both Thanksgiving and Christmas next year.
I am also greatly enjoying my shortened week at work this week. It's so great! I am also not working a full work week for the next two weeks, too! I love this time of year! We still don't have our new year's plans for next week figured due to work, etc. If anybody is planning anything in this area, let me know. Then on the 5th my mom and I are going birthday shopping a little early this year due to her trip to Grayling on my actual birthday. (Which only slightly hinders our usual birthday outing of shopping on the actual day...) Then that evening, we are gathering a group of people and heading out for birthday festivities. The more the merrier. There are also a specific few that I really hope will finally make it!
The only downside to my holiday season thus far is one of my Christmas presents. Every year, my mom gets me the newest Alex Cross by James Patterson. This year was no different. However tonight I sat down to eat a sub and fully intended to finish Double Cross when lo and behold I made a startling discovery. My book jumps from page 250 to page 283. i initially hoped that the pages were just out of order or something, but no...... those 33 pages are all out missing. I am now quite bummed and it is too late to resolve anything today!
Oh well, I guess this means that I can now go and read more of Hitchhiker's Guide.....

P.S. as a definite plus to my week- when I came home from work today, I found out that I now have a brand new dishwasher! Hurray for that! Bring on taco night now!
