You probably have constellations all over your head

It has been an amazing few days.... The fourth was nice and relaxing with a chance for me to (finally) sleep in followed by a lazy midday with Sebastian then dinner with Scott and my parents at the Elephant Bar. (!!!) Yay for lettuce wraps and my newest convert! Then fireworks... We had originally planned on going to downtown Toledo and watching the fireworks over the river, yet after dinner, we decided to just stay in Sylvania for fireworks. So we stopped on a grassy knoll and out came the lawn chairs. Promptly decided that mine needed to be thrown out after fireworks (yet have unfortunately have fallen madly in love with a man whom agrees with my father for the mantra that everything must always be kept because you can use it for something else... although Scott actually will find a use for it {or cave in and throw it out a week later]) Either way we settled in to wait for nightfall and waited... and waited... and waited. The fireworks that were supposed to start at 10:00 in fact did not start until 10:45. By this point mom was so pissed it took her a good 15 minutes to start her "ooh"'s and "aah"'s over each one. That fact alone almost ruined fireworks for me.

The next day we meandered ALL the way down the street to Rykk's (he lives essentially in the apartment complex next door to ours) for his birthday. He made General Tso's Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken... super yummy! I made him a (really tall) birthday cake, but the real showstopper was Scott's sour cream frosting! Many drinks were imbibed and after a rousing rendition of Battle of the Sexes, we called it a night and bade the birthday boy a happy 26th birthday.

Otherwise it has been a good week. Scot had Wednesday off so I took it off and we just relaxed. Ran a few errands, went to the store so I could get cookie necessities (over a dozen eggs, shitloads of brown sugar, etc..) Then after all of that, we decided against baking and went to the movies to see Hancock. (mixed feelings about it- enough said) Have decided that we both can't wait til next Friday with the Dark Knight's release.... SOOOO can't wait for it! Really want to see Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face, and Heath Ledger as the Joker. Besides, I can't help but think that Christian Bale makes the best Batman yet. There are still a few other movies I am looking forward to (X-Files, Mamma Mia, Pineapple Express, the Mummy one, and Death Race, whenever it comes out)

Last night I got the baking buzz. A batch of snickerdoodles (my absolute favorite) and kinda 2 batches of chocolate chip cookies later, I retired to finally finish Hitman as I had fallen asleep the night before. If I have not yet stated it, let me now say that Timothy Olyphant rocks! He now ranks up there with Jason Smith and Kevin Smith for me.

On the random side of things, I am once again getting really gung ho about finishing my classes. There are a lot of random incidents that have helped this along, and I am loving it. Work is going fantastic as well. Still a workaholic, but I don't mind.

Also, things on the home front have never been better. Each day just gets better and better, even if it's the most mundane day and we do nothing but go grocery shopping.

*Rykk is correct... it was indeed cream cheese frosting!

Whoo-hoo! I make an appearance in the blog!

I believe it was cream cheese frosting. I don't think sour cream would've been as good...
